Leave of Absence and 撤军

缺课一学期

If you have completed at least 一个 semester (Spring or Fall) at 利记, you are eligible for a One Semester Leave, which means you can skip 一个 semester 没有通知上海大学. You will receive a registration appointment in My利记 for the semester following your One Semester Leave and you must enroll. 

Absent for two or more consecutive semesters

If you need two or more consecutive semesters off (Spring 和秋天), you must submit a Leave Request prior to the start of the semester after a One Semester Leave. 的 maximum leave is four semesters.

请注意: Students will not have access to your My利记 after being out for longer than 12 个月.

Types of Eligible Leaves

  • One Semester Leaves: for continuing students only; petition is not required, but enrollment is required the following term

Returning from Leave of Absence

  • Students must enroll after the last semester of their leave
  • To return early, you must notify the 司法常务官办公室 in writing
  • Students granted a leave are guaranteed a return to their department 

撤军

Students do not need to submit any forms to formally withdraw from 利记. 我们自动 cancel your student status if you do not enroll for two or more consecutive semesters(Spring 和秋天). 然而, if you are currently enrolled, you should formally drop all classes via My利记 by the drop deadline(see 日历 for deadline date) to avoid academic penalty. 

If the drop deadline has passed:

  • Undergraduate students will need to submit the 撤军 from Semester Request which 可在 Undergraduate 教育's 请求页面.
  • Graduate students need to file Graduate Petition for Course Drop/Semester 撤军. 去 GAPE表单页面 and look under Special Petitions.

Maintaining Student Status

You are considered an active continuing student if you are enrolled in at least 一个 每学期上课.  的re is no minimum unit required.

If you will miss two consecutive semesters (as defined as Spring and Fall Terms), you must reapply for admission through the 加州州立大学申请网站 作为归国学生. If you have any questions about re-applying, contact the 招生办公室. 

If you are a new student and do not attend your the first term of admission,you must reapply for admission to the next available term through the 加州州立大学申请网站.
